Bike Tour - If you are interested in three days of serious cycle touring in Scotland (75 km/day) prior to the ISCEV meeting then please contact Pierre Lachapelle for details pierre.lachapelle@mcgill.ca The itinerary is yet to be finalised but is being organised in conjunction with Patrizia Tormene, Carol Westall and Vaegan. They will depart on Saturday 20 August 2005 at about 3pm and return on Tuesday 23 August in the early afternoon. There will be a room available at the conference site for cyclists to leave their luggage. Accommodation will be found enroute, and each day will end with the standard ISCEV festivities, sampling the local wining and dining.

Optional Seaplane Trips, Thursday 25 August 2005 - Delegates have a very special opportunity as part of our conference to take a 20 minute seaplane trip over the breathtaking Lochs and Mountains of the Central Highlands, at a very special price of £94, coinciding with a trip to Loch Lomond. There are still some places left. To book a flight please contact Mrs Susie West at Loch Lomond Seaplanes direct (not the ISCEV committee). Loch Lomond Seaplanes can be contacted on +44 (0)870 242 1457 or by email at info@lochlomondseaplanes.com quoting "ISCEV SYMPOSIUM - 25 AUGUST 2005". In the event of bad weather causing the flights to be cancelled, passengers can be reassured that they will receive a full refund.

Golf at Turnberry on 28th August Only a few spaces left for the Golf Tournament. Please contact David Keating if you are interested in participating or if you require any further information.

Post Congress Tour As there have been only a small number of bookings for the post congress tour, it is likely that the organisers, Prestige Tours, will offer a similar tour that is open to the public as well as to ISCEV delegates. For bookings follow the website instructions: (see Tours Golf and Links)

Scottish National Dress Kilt Hire The Conference will conclude on Saturday Evening with a Gala Dinner and Ceilidh (traditional Scottish Country Dancing). It is appropriate for ladies to wear evening dress with comfortable shoes. For men it is appropriate to wear a lounge suit, a Scottish kilt and jacket or National dress of their own country. Delegates wishing to hire a kilt are responsible for making their own arrangements, including collecting and returning their kilt. Although the local organising committee do not endorse any particular shop, the following shop close to the conference venue has provided information as below Hector Russell in Buchanan Street . At Hector Russell the hire cost will be £34.95, quoting "ISCEV symposium", and will include everything except a shirt and woollen knee length socks (stockings). They have socks available for sale if necessary starting from £9.99. Their normal hire period is three days and so outfits could be collected on Friday 26 August and returned on Sunday 28 August 2005. A self measuring guide is available on their website, allowing the shop to book appropriate sized kilts before arrival. We would recommend that you get the shop to check your measurements on arrival in Glasgow. If anyone chooses to book via email or phone prior to arrival, then the shop will require a > £15 deposit to secure the booking.

Post Conference Tour- to the Highlands & Isle for Skye Monday August 29 - Wednesday August 31, 2005 is available at additional cost for interested delegates. See the Tours, Golf and Links for Details:
