Arriving at Brussels Zaventem airport: Travelling to Leuven
By train:
From 06:00 till nearly midnight, the Airport City Express links the airport
with Brussels railway stations four times an hour. The train station is located
in the basement (level Ð1) of the terminal building itself.
In Brussels
Noord railway station, you have to change for a train to Leuven-Louvain
The time for the total trip is app. 55 min. The price for a ticket is less than
5 Euro.

By taxi:
Licensed taxis (with meter) are available just at the exit of the airport Arrival
Building. Licensed taxis can be identified by the yellow and blue licence emblem.
ALWAYS AVOID UNLICENSED TAXIS.
The
trip to Leuven costs app. 50 Euro. Sharing a taxi with two or three persons
is possible.
ISCEV 2002 WELCOME DESK
On Tuesday, July 16, from 08.30 to 18.30 a ISCEV2002 welcome and assistance desk will be open in the Airport Arrival Building (just after passing through customs).
We will try and help you in getting on the train or to have taxi sharing with other ISCEV participants.
Leuven is easily
accessible by car, by train (every half hour connection with Brussels and Liège),
and by plane (train from Zaventem-Brussels airport).
It is a small town, everything is within a 15 minutes walk. Leuven has perhaps
the highest concentration of cafés, pubs and small restaurants in the
world.
By plane
: Leuven is some 20 km from Brussels-Zaventem international airport. Regular
train connections are available. Budget-minded travelers can take a train to
Brussels-Noord (4 every hour) and there change to a train to Leuven (every half
hour). A train ticket Airport-Leuven costs about 5 euro. A taxi from the airport
to Leuven costs about 50 euro.You can take a train to Brussel-Noord and there
change to a train to Leuven.
By train
: Brussel has regular and fast connections with London, Paris, Amsterdam, Köln,–
Brussel-Leuven is a 20 minutes trip by train available at least twice an hour.

By car : Leuven is along the motorway from Brussels to Aachen. The city has become car unfriendly. In Leuven you will NOT need a car. Parking in the city is difficult. Please contact your hotel for parking facilities.
