| ♦ Presentation file must be saved as the name of presenting author. |
| ♦ Bring your CD and/or your own computer to "Preview Room." Ask
"Presentation Desk" at the registration area if you cannot find
the location of "Preview Room." |
| ♦ To use Symposium's computer, bring your CD at least one (1) day before your presentation day. The CD and CD case should have Presentation No., Presenting author's
name, Presentation Date & Time, and Session Name. |
♦ To use your own laptop, bring the computer at least two (2) hours before your presentation. If your presentation is scheduled for the first session of the day, bring it by 8:15 on the day of your presentation. Save your presentation file as your name on Desktop. Bringing a backup CD is strongly recommended.

| ♦ Computer must have USB cable connection. If it does not have, please bring
CD and use Symposium's computer. |
| ♦ All presentation files in CDs for a day are saved in symposium's computer
one day before, and the computer is set up at a control station installed
in the back of audience floor next morning. Once the computer is set up,
it is not be removed until the end of the day, except for emergency. Therefore,
your presentation file should be fully ready for the session before you
bring it to the preview room.Your CD is returned in the Preview Room after
your session. |
| ♦ Personal computers also are set up at the control station in the audience
floor; they are connected to USB hub and with a control keyboard, mouse
and monitor on the podium of the stage. With this keyboard and mouse, you
can control your own computers and change pages of your presentation. Please
do not use a remote controller to keep stability of the entire USB system.
Your computer is returned in the Preview Room after your session. |
| ♦ Please come to "SPEAKERS WAITING SEATS"by the time when 2 presentations before you begins. (The location of "SPEAKERS WAITING SEATS" is marked in the FLOOR MAP.) The staff will bring you to the waiting room, "KAGAMINOMA". |
| ♦ In "KAGAMINOMA", the staff gives you a tie-pin microphone and
the instruction about how to use the control keyboard on the podium. |
| ♦ All speakers must take off their shoes to step on the hallway, greenrooms,
and stage. (Slippers are available.) |
| ♦ From the "KAGAMINOMA" to the stage, a bridge called "HASHIGAKARI"
is extended. When a prior speaker finishes his or her presentation and
walks back to the "KAGAMINOMA," it is your turn to walk toward
the podium. While you are walking the bridge, your presentation or computer
is made ready by operators at the control station. In other words, the
operator opens and closes your presentation file; you change the pages
of your presentation. |
| ♦ Start your speech after you make sure that your presentation is opened
on the monitor in front of you. When you finish the presentation, do not
try to close the presentation file. The operator does it. |
| ♦ Please do not use the stairs in front of the stage. It is just a remaining
of Noh tradition, no longer used. |
