Welcome to Boston
2014 Symposium of the International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision

Charles River

Dear ISCEV Friends,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Boston for the 52nd ISCEV Symposium. The events will begin on Sunday evening, 20 July 2014 with a welcome reception at the Boston Museum of Science and will end on Thursday evening, 24 July with a banquet at the Danversport Yacht Club. The Symposium will be held at the Boston Marriott Cambridge, conveniently located in Kendall Square, Cambridge, adjacent to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus and the Charles River. The Kendall Square T-stop (subway station) is directly adjacent to the hotel, giving attendees easy access to downtown Boston and Harvard Square in Cambridge.

We have arranged a very good rate for hotel rooms at the Marriott; if we meet a minimum room occupancy requirement, we will get free access to all meeting rooms and hotel facilities. We therefore strongly encourage all attendees to stay at the Marriott. To obtain the reduced rate, make your room reservations via the link on the ISCEV symposium website.

We anticipate an excellent scientific program at this meeting. The Dawson Lecture will be given by Artur Cideciyan, Research Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania. The Adachi Lecture will be given by Michael Marmor, Professor of Ophthalmology at Stanford University.

Boston is a wonderful place to visit in the summer and we hope that delegates will take the advantage of some of what the area has to offer either before or after the conference. It is a relatively small US city which makes it readily accessible. Boston is rich in history and culture and is a vibrant center for biomedical research. The area also offers many other attractive vacation locations such as the beaches of Cape Cod and coastal Maine, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts. New York City is also easily accessible by train or car. I look forward to hosting you in Boston in July.
