Thanks
At this place I want to thank all colleagues who have helped with this website, be it with contributions, with corrections (factual, style or spelling) or with moral support. You know who you are, thank you!
Michael BachImplementation
(This was written in 1996) My intent was to create a site with more content than glitz, that loads rapidly, scales to all screen sizes (current research has revealed that the majority of users still browse with 640x480 monitors) and does not need the very latest version of browsers (no frames!). The site is created and maintained on Macintosh computers using the following software:
- Dreamweaver has succeeded PageSpinner
- PageSpinner is my preferred HTML editor, an indispensible plus is its <include> feature
- PageMill for import from external formats and rapid prototyping
- Photoshop and GraphicConverter to work on graphics and images
- PageInspector by Douglas Clarke for error checking of HTML code
- SiteMill for site-wide error checking and link maintainance
- FileMaker for membership database and conversion to the ‘members’ page.
Michael Bach.
